Get investment-ready. Then raise with confidence.
Most founders start talking to investors six months before they're ready. The result is slow rounds, weak terms and a lot of wasted meetings.
Investment readiness means an investor can say yes quickly: a pitch that answers the questions they're silently asking, a data room that holds up to scrutiny, SEIS/EIS advance assurance in place, a sensible valuation, and a raise plan that targets the right investors in the right order.
That's what we build together. Not advice from the sidelines. I get under the bonnet of your numbers, your materials and your plans, and we fix what's weak before an investor finds it.
What's Typically Covered
- The data room: what goes in it, what to leave out, what yours is missing
- The story and the pitch: deck, narrative, and questions every investor asks
- SEIS/EIS: advance assurance, timing, and what it signals to angels
- Valuation and dilution: what's defensible at pre-seed, and what you'll regret
- The raise plan: how much, from whom, in what order
I work mostly with pre-seed, impact-driven UK startups, and with early-stage founders across Europe and North America.
Common Questions
How long does it take to get investment-ready?
Typically 4 to 8 weeks of focused work, depending on where you're starting from. The Funding Clarity Call tells us which end you're at.
Do I need revenue to raise pre-seed?
No. Angels back momentum and evidence, not just revenue. A startup with £0 revenue and strong validation can be more fundable than one with £1m and no story.
What is SEIS advance assurance?
HMRC's provisional confirmation that investments in your company will qualify for SEIS tax relief. Most UK angels won't invest without it.
Do you invest or introduce investors?
I'm not a fund or a broker. Where an introduction makes sense and I know the right person, I make it, but the work is making you fundable, not selling access.
What does it cost?
Scoped per engagement after the Clarity Call, agreed before any work starts. Flexible structures for early-stage reality.
