I've been where you are.

I’m Tom.

I’m a founder who’s a bit obsessed with building businesses that actually move the needle on sustainability. My first startup was BeoBia (aka The Bug Factory), an insect-farming company where we built a 10,000 sq ft R&D farm in Leicestershire and turned organic waste into insect protein, oils and fertilisers. We ended up operating across the UK, US, EU and Australia.

I’ve had some nice moments along the way… but the truth is: none of that shows the hard days.

I’ve made the mistakes. Hired wrong. Burned time (and money!) on the wrong priorities. Tried to do too much with too little. Felt the pressure of needing to “figure it out” while everything’s moving at 100mph. And I’ve learned that the people around you, and the decisions you make when it’s messy, are what really change the outcome.

These days, I am taking some time off from building my own venture and helping impact-driven startups navigate that reality: getting clear, tightening execution, and building the confidence to grow.
